Our Creative Facilitation introductory course is designed for you! We run the course quarterly, with the following learning outcomes:

Become an engaging creative facilitator thinking about games and exercises
for both online and in-person delivery
Practice planning & problem solving in the moment
Find joy and confidence with your own style of delivery
Comply with the latest child safeguarding regulations

Dates: Thursday 25th April and Friday 26th April 2024, 10am - 5pm each day

Cost: £300 per delegate (+ Eventbrite booking fee)

Course details

This training is for those wanting to create engaging workshops for their beneficiaries. You will learn how to engage participants, create safe spaces, and comply with safeguarding regulations. Led by Simone Watson-Brown, an experienced performance coach and EDI consultant, this two-day intensive course is a must for anyone looking to improve their facilitation skills.

All delegates will receive an accredited course certificate upon completion of all 12 units.

Unit 1: Defining a facilitator and the tools they use

Unit 2: Practical exploration of delivering a Workshop

Unit 3: Tailor made session plan vs thinking on your feet

Unit 4: The importance of creating safe spaces and managing challenging behaviour

Unit 5: Safeguarding best practice assessment 1 (Quiz)

Unit 6: Delivering a game assessment 2 (Practical)

Unit 7: Reflection, recap and identifying development areas

Unit 8: Active entrances

Unit 9: Leaning into your USP - part 1

Unit 10: Leaning into your USP - part 2

Unit 11: Leaning into your USP - part 3

Unit 12: Self/peer reflection and evaluation

Who facilitates it?

Simone Watson-Brown is a highly skilled and experienced freelance Performance and Impact Coach, EDI consultant, creative facilitator, and Theatre Director. She has a background in Arts Leadership at an award-winning off-west end theatre and works for a number of award-winning companies. Simone is an accredited Performance Impact Coach, having received her certification in 2019 from the International Coach Federation through Maynard Leigh Associates.

As part of our creative ecosystem, in addition to running accredited training courses, we also hire trained and trusted facilitators to support our School Holiday Drama Clubs.

80% of course participants in 2022 - 2023 have since been hired as paid facilitators by PMD for £150/day, meaning they made their money back (and then some!) almost right away.
